Beit Hanina

Beit Hanina was historically famed for its fertile fields that were cultivated with olive trees, vegetables and fruit, especially apricot. With the urban and economic expansion in the area, these crops began to gradually disappear.

According to Occupation Municipality zoning, the village is referred to as two distinct geographical locations: Old Beit Hanina (Beit Hanina al-Balad) and today’s urbanized Beit Hanina neighborhood.
