Qalandia Local Council

Qalandia Local Council was established in 1994, following the signing of the Oslo accords, by the Palestinian Authority. The council is responsible for providing residents with services such as infrastructure, water electricity and collecting garbage in addition to organising planning and construction and protecting public property.

Qalandia residents enjoy excellent services and live in a thriving, sustainably developed village.

Qalandia Local Council will carry out projects and programmes that improve the quality of services provided, propose new services, develop the infrastructure in the village, and encourage investment.

  1. Improving health services in the village by equipping the medical centre and buying an ambulance.

  2. Improving the individual income in the village by starting productive projects.

  3. Working to prevent water cuts and losses.

  4. Restoring old schools and building a new school in the village to improve the level of education.

The council welcomes volunteers who have a legal background and experience in recovering confiscated lands.
