On Tuesday, June 2, occupation bulldozers demolished two houses under construction owned by “Abu Khaled Abu Rmeileh” family in the Wadi al-Hilweh neighbourhood of Silwan, south of al-Aqsa Mosque. The family had been able to stop the demolition order many times. Two months before the scheduled demolition, the occupation municipality gave the family until May to demolish their home themselves. Abu Khaled mentioned that people of “Bab al-Magharbeh” tried to issue building permits but the municipality rejected their demand on the pretext that it was "green land, where building is forbidden.” Immediately after the demolition, the IOF surrounded the land with red tape and closed the iron gate to the land.
On the same day, bulldozers demolished the upper part of al-Salaymeh family’s house in Salah a-Din Street in occupied Jerusalem on the pretext that the building didn’t have a permit. The IOF evicted the family of 9 people, most of which are children, without warning.
